Rosa Gergely, a junior at Blue Mountain High in Pennsylvania, won the girls javelin throw title with a third-round mark of 155-1 (47.27m) to achieve a new personal-best performance at New Balance Nationals Outdoor in Philadelphia. Gergely had thrown 150-8 (45.92m) on May 27 to win the Pennsylvania 3A state title.
